"Official" 510 Station wagon naming policy

You have an early Datsun 510 wagonand would like to give it a name. While naming cars isn't for everyone, I have created some guidelines for referencing it should you be on the 510 list and would like to play along. Preface: I bought a dead 510 wagon a few years ago, dropped a motor in it and converted it to a 5-speed. This wagon turned into my daily driver and was even the car my wife and I went to our wedding in (http://www.datsuns.com/510wedding/wedding.htm). Being a fan of the stupid Beavis and Butt-head show, I called it Wagonholio (after Butt-heads "Cornholio" character) once and the name simply stuck. 'Holio naming rules: 1) Sub 2.0L wagons are "Slowholio's", sometimes referred to as "Subholio" (note single capitalization). 2) To achieve SuperWagonHolio (aka "SuperHolio" but this is not used by me as it just plain sounds WRONG) it must make 200% the power of a stocker. As I make the rules and haven't dyno'd mine yet I am exempt from this rule for the time being. I believe the standard HP BS factor is 20% - note this is much higher for some- so as long as I'm w/in 20% of 200% I'm fine. Again as I make the rules I'm allowed to throw in some math wizardry to muddy the rules to free them for my interpretation.... 3) V6 wagons are still "just" SuperHolio's, unless wheel HP exceeds 175hp at which point MegaHolio becomes the official term. Anthony's 330+ wheel HP wagon is so far beyond "Holioness" that it's just plain "Anthony's wagon" or whatever name he feels like calling it. Big power has its privileges you know. 4) Problematic wagon's (even sub 2.0L ones) may be called WagonAssHolio (a.k.a. WAH!), especially if they cause problems at the most inopportune times like dying in the middle of a busy intersection, or just after picking up your date. 5) Wagon's clean enough to win points at car shows cannot be called any level of Holio, as the term was derived as an adaptation the Cornholio character and show quality cars have far too much class to be associated with such nonsense. 6) For the truly sick, you may optionally also give 'Holio's version numbers. If you have a WagonHolio and it's originally stock except for the 2.0L, then it's v1.0. Do some suspension modifications and you're at v1.1 or v1.2 (e,g. front suspension changes with stock rear suspension is v1 1, both axles changed is v1.2). Note only performance modifications affect version numbers. That's the Holio story and I'm sticking to it. I reserve the right to revise this list as necessary. |
