Misc 510 modifications
Due to a different, thicker radiator, space between the mechanical fan and the radiator became a premium. I was able to gain the added clearance by mounting the fan on the back portion of the fan clutch vs. the front part. However this put the fan into conflict with the front pulley. However, since I only use the rearmost pulley row (it runs the water pump and alternator, the others are for A/C and power steering), I simply picked up an aftermarket aluminum underdrive front pulley and had the front pulley row machined off. As an added bonus, the stock pulley is 13lbs, the aluminum one is perhaps two. |
