MILEAGE:
coming back from Canada I was able to do an accurate MPG check. I went exactly 250 miles on 9.1 gallons or 27.4MPG.

Fuel: I was the person who filled both the start and finishing tanks and both times filled it until there was fuel high in the filler neck.

Distance: The 250 miles was per our SE-R trip meter. The distance was from mile post 232 in Washington to very near my house in Beaverton, Oregon. Since my house is over 15 miles (dunno if it's 16 or 18 or what though) from the Washington/Oregon border I feel the 250miles is a very valid number.

Driving: Average highway speed was 65-70mph depending on traffic. Boost controller was off and speed was held constant with just a few forays into boost to make up ground when I fell behind Sara in our SE-R due to traffic. We did have to slow for some Seattle traffic so there's about 5 miles of stop-and-go in there too.

The 27.4mpg gets an asterisk since my fuel gauge wasn't *quite* as high as the initial fill, but I view it as impossible to have put in any more than 1/2 gallon more as I spent quite some time getting it as full as I could the second time. Even another 1/2 gallon puts the mileage at a hair over 26MPG which to me is pretty incredible since I scarcely got more than than with my NA VG30DE. I attribute it to the taller tires and 3.36 gearing which moved the RPM@60mph from just over 2620 to 2340.
